For R&D

Using a revolutionary design approach in the S-CAT 6000 series, the setcom hardware enables the testing of wireless terminals over an array of radio bearers such as GSM/EDGE, WCDMA or UMA/GAN over WLAN using one S-CAT 6000 unit. The operational software supports the full device stack including audio and data performance analysis including the connectivity of two devices in a mobile-to-mobile voice call over the various radio standards.

The setcom security gateway (S-SEGW) supports multiple instances of UMA and GAN connections with the versatility to quickly change S-SEGW configurations to match device certificate settings.

LTE is a key focus area for setcom as it continues expanding its portfolio of first to market achievements in the delivery of test products for baseband and protocol stack development.

For Conformance Testing

With a portfolio of around 1,500 3GPP, OMA and IMTC test cases, setcom is a well known participant at the standards and certification meeting groups, including Global Certification Forum (GCF), PTCRB and CDMA certification Forum (CCF) where setcom has numerous approved test platforms and supplies test cases and software onto other manufacturers approved platforms.

With a renowned track record in supplying test environments for GSM/EGPRS protocol stack testing, setcom took a pioneering role in delivering the S-CAT 5020 for Application Enabler certification.

Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) is now a reality in commercial networks with the introduction of UMA and GAN (3GPP name for UMA). Setcom is the leader in GAN device certification using the S-CAT 6030 test system.

One Compact Test Platform S-CAT 6000 Series

Designed specifically for wireless terminals R&D and GCF/PTCRB/CCF conformance testing. The platform support easy installation of test software for various application, mobile multi-media and signalling protocols. Connectivity to the terminal under test can be provided by either using your existing external RF units or by optional build-in RF modules.

R&D Testing S-CAT 6010

Focused at system and functional test teams working in the R&D departments, the S-CAT 6010 supports multiple GSM/EDGE, WCDMA or UMA/GAN bearers in one hardware unit, providing a deterministic and repeatable method to test complex scenarios covering the full functionality of the wireless device.

UMA/GAN R&D and Conformance Testing S-CAT 6030

The S-CAT 6030 is an enhanced wireless protocol tester for UMA/GAN mobile terminal developers. This test solution includes all components required to run GERAN specific GAN testcases over WLAN interface or 2G/3G handovers can be tested over an optional built-in RF Unit.
